I want to start my blog with the books I think are worthwhile books. Other than the top few, there is no particular order. Maybe, if I care enough, I will order them.
1. The Book of Mormon
I put this one as tops on my list. I have read it over 30 times, and will read it just about annually. I have a very strong belief in the veracity of this book. I believe it is truly a life-changing book.
2. The Bible - preferably the KJV
Following the teachings of Jesus Christ are the only way for our lives to be fulfilled.
3. The Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price
And these (although two of them) fill out my top three. Yeah, I know. The obligatory religious books. Now you know where I stand.
4. Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
This one is a very good science fiction read. It teaches some important principles, if you stop to find them in the full story.
5. The Christ Commission - Og Mandino
When I finished this book, I just sat there and said, "Wow!" I realize that it isn't the greatest, and I don't even give it much credence, but it is well written and very thought provoking about the life and after-life of Christ.
